Matilda “Zippy” Zippilli Drummond, 94 of Clarksburg, passed away on July 29, 2019 at her residence with her family by her side. She was born January 13, 1925 Clarksburg, WV; the daughter of the late Pasquale and Elizabeth DePola Zippilli.

Matilda was a member of the St. James Alter Rosary Society and a volunteer for the Red Cross as a Nurses Aid. She also volunteered at the VA Hospital for 31 years in the Pharmacy Department. Matilda also worked in the glass factory for 46 years where she also retired.

Matilda is survived by one son, David Allen Drummond of Spelter; daughter in law, Tonya Drummond of Spelter; four grandchildren, Guy Matthew Gump and wife Amy, Casey Drummond, Alana Drummond and Danielle Grace Drummond; five great grand-daughters, Leah Dawn Skinner, Isabella Sophia Gump, Ave Marie Skinner, Gracelyn Paige Gump and Jasmine Jewel Gump; one brother in law, Shafter “Brud” Drummond of Spelter; nieces and nephews, Pat and Michael Zippilli of Clarksburg, Angie Sipko of Stonewood, Cathy Summers of Stonewoord, Mary Jo Hamilton of Bridgeport, Tommy Gene Zippilli of Parma, OH, Ross Marano of Pittsburgh and Carolyn Shields of Sarasota, FL.

In addition to her parents, Matilda is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene “Gene” Drummond; one son, Danny Thomas Drummond; four siblings, William “Bill” Zippilli, Connie Marano, Joseph Zippilli and her twin brother, Raymond Zippilli; one nephew, Raymond Zippilli.

Per Matilda’s request, her body will be donated to the WVU Human Gift Registry.
