Matilda Fern Barth Booth, 70, passed away Saturday October 26th. Matilda was born February 6, 1943 in Alexandria, Indiana; daughter of the late Charles and Margerete Barth. Matilda is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Roger Booth; one sister Mary Lou Garrett of Clarksburg; two brothers, James Barth of Clarksburg, Charles Barth, Jr. of Anderson, Indiana, and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death one brother, Kenneth Barth and one nephew Andrew Barth. At the age of 12, she gave her heart and soul to Jesus at Pilgrim Holiness camp meeting. In 1990, she was filled with the Holy Spirit under the ministry of Lester Sumrall. Matilda loved going to church and attended the Church of the Nazarene, until she got sick. Matilda graduated from Anderson High School, where she played violin. She was a homemaker, loved embroidery and spending time with her family and friends.
