Math was born January 8, 1941, to Catherine and Math Pint in New Prague, Minnesota. He was the 7th of 9 children. After High School, he worked at Bush Construction Company until he was drafted into the US Army. He was drafted in 1963 and discharged in 1965. During his time in the Army he was stationed at Ft. Carson, Colorado, which is where he met his future wife, Lynn Bollig. Math and Lynn were married in 1966. They lived in Aurora, Colorado and went on to have 2 sons, Dan and Mark along with 5 grandchildren. Math worked for ESB and Kuntz Construction Company until he joined the Windsor Gardens maintenance department in 1974. He later became Facilities Manager and retired in 2006 after 32 years.
