MaryLou Hanold, a native of Elsie, Michigan, died peacefully on April 16, 2024 at the age of 95. Born at home, one of thirteen children born to Onas and Thelma (Doten) Baese, MaryLou grew up in Elsie where she was a graduate of Elsie High School, Class of 1946. She made her career as a nurse and served many years at Sparrow Hospital, St. Johns Hospital in Detroit, Bethesda Hospital in Boynton Beach, Florida, and in retirement served at the Ovid Healthcare Center in Ovid. Throughout her life she enjoyed singing and annual family reunions.She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Hanold in 1994, eight brothers and a sister. She is survived by her daughters, Louanne Blackburn (Butch Staley) and Natalie (Peter) Villmure, her son, Gerald Duane Blackburn, four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, a brother, Richard Baese; sister, Diane Bates and many nieces and nephews.
