Maryann (Anding) Mackay, aka Micky Mackay, of Fairfield CT passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 17. Maryann was born in Port-au-Prince Haiti, to Elbert Beard Anding, of Rosebud Texas, and Jessie MacGregor Anding, of Paisley Scotland, in 1933. Shortly thereafter, she moved to The States, Canada and back to The States. She moved to Weston, CT in 1948 where attended the Bolton School for Girls (Greens Farms Academy) in Westport CT. During her high school years she worked at The Westport Country Playhouse as an usher. Upon graduation she moved to Paris, France for one year. Upon returning to The States, Maryann resided in NYC. Working for: The Theatre Guild, Joe Wallhandler Press Agency, Playboy Publicity for books, Harvey and Carlson (now James Neal Harvey) Ad Agency, and for Roger L. Stevens on the forming of the Kennedy Center in Washington D. C. After the birth of her niece, she moved with her family to Fairfield, CT. She left the city life completely, after the publishing of her first book. Maryann is predeceased by her parents and her sister Drusilla Davis. Maryann is survived by her sister Jessie Mackay, of NC and niece Katharine Weed, of California. Maryann touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Those of us lucky enough to have had her in our lives feel blessed. She regaled in our joy and shared in our pain. She gave of herself even when it was more than she could give, never putting herself first. A large hole that can never be refilled has been left by her death.
