They lived in Minnesota, Montana, and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula before residing in Kalamazoo for the last 48 years. MaryAnn was a devoted wife and loving mother to her four children. She enjoyed her grandchildren and prayed faithfully for her family. She loved God, and loved people.

Her family, friends, and sewing sisters were the joy of her heart. She was involved at Zion Lutheran Church for 40 years with sewing quilts for World Relief, attending weekly Bible studies, providing meals, and baking cookies. For many years MaryAnn volunteered with the Visiting Nurse Association to give caretakers some respite. She enjoyed flowers and gardening, bird watching (especially hummingbirds), playing bridge, bowling, and golfing. She had a special way of making people smile with her acts of service, sense of humor, kind words, grateful heart, generosity, and good cooking. MaryAnn made the world a more beautiful place and will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
