Maryann (Bugajski) Plasterer, 76, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at her home in Columbia City. Her loving and dedicated husband of 55 years, Thomas Orville Plasterer, was by her side during her final moments.
Maryann was born on May 23, 1946, in Chicago, IL, to the late Francis (Frank) Joseph and Victoria Bernice (Sobota) Bugajski. Maryann was the middle child of three sisters.
Surviving family include her husband Thomas Orville Plasterer whom she married on August 26, 1967; children Ross (Ann) Plasterer, Fort Wayne, IN, Matthew (Heather) Plasterer, Roanoke, IN, and Sarah (David) Weber, Fort Wayne, IN; grandchildren, Austin, Kyle, Adam, Kelsey, Elizabeth, Madison, Mark, Ashley, Faith, Shane, Rachel, Kristen, Gwen, and Grace; great-grandchild Maya; sister Kathy (Bugajski) Reich.
Maryann was preceded in death by her parents Francis (Frank) Joseph and Victoria Bernice (Sobota) Bugajski; daughter Kimberly Ann (Plasterer) Weaver; and sister Patricia Ann (Bugajski) Dwyer.
Maryann enjoyed painting, computers, movies, and being “Doppler Granny” for the entire family. Maryann loved gardening and her numerous flower beds, varieties of flowers, fruit trees, and her special “Smoky Mountain” section of her yard that brought her so much joy. Maryann was a member of Christ Lutheran Church of Fort Wayne. She had a strong faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ which she shared with everyone and used to help guide others through the good and bad times that life presents. Maryann was a rock for the family and someone that we could always turn to who would listen and guide us through the challenges of life through trust and faith in Jesus Christ. Maryann loved her family dearly, sharing in the joys of her family’s lives, and a good laugh.
