Maryan Ross, 71, passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 in El Paso. She was born on April 8, 1939 in Shenandoah, Iowa to Vern and Hazel (Richards) Warren.
She moved to Clinton, Tennessee in her early childhood and attended school there, graduating from Clinton High School. After graduation from high school she moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida where she met her husband, Harry Ross. They were married 44 wonderful years.
Maryan and Harry moved to Alamogordo in the early 1970’s. Maryan was an active member of many clubs in the area. She was a lifetime member in the Order of the Amarath, holding offices during her years with the club including Grand Royal Matron of the State of New Mexico, an office which she held at the time of her death.
She was a charter member of the Calico Extension Club and held many offices of varying duties throughout the years. She was very active in bowling leagues in the Alamogordo area.
Maryan was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and her love of the Lord kept her serving in her church wherever she was asked.
