Mary “Zuggie” F. (Musumano) Masi, wife of James Masi, Jr. of Plainville, a long-time resident of Burlington, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at Hartford was born on August 15, 1937 in Bristol, daughter of the late Patsy and Julia (Allawatt) Musumano.
Zuggie was a wonderful woman, with a huge heart. She gave her time wholeheartedly, cooking for many local shelters. She was an avid reader and wonderful homemaker. She was an incredible cook and had a passion for feeding her family. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her beloved family, who will miss her dearly. She will always be remembered for her sincere generosity and genuine character. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Dawn and Paul Johnson of Avon, her son and daughter-in-law Nick and Sharon Masi of Farmington, and her daughter Julie Masi and her companion Thom Warington of Bristol; her brothers and sisters-in-law Gregory and Joyce Musumano and Patsy and Donna Musumano all of Naples, FL, Richard Musumano of Bristol, her sister Sharon Gallo and her fiancé Gregory Nadolny of Plainville and her brother Robert Musumano of Bristol; her grandchildren Jason and his wife Meghan Johnson of Simsbury, Heather Johnson of New York City, Kristie Masi and Gino Masi both of Farmington; her two great-grandchildren, Emma and Ethan Johnson and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father-in-law James Masi Sr. and her brother-in-law Frank Gallo.
