Mary McCarthy Zitnay, age 90, of Trumbull, died October 20, 2005 in St. Vincenta(TM)s Medical Center. Mrs. Zitnay was born in Bridgeport and was a longtime Trumbull resident. She was the loving wife of the late Andrew F. Zitnay Jr. Her true passion in life lied within her matriarchal role as mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Her strength, inner-beauty, and unconditional love and devotion for her family, which transcended generations, will be treasured in our hearts for eternity. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Barbara A. Plofkin, Andrea M. Ivanovich and husband, Thomas, and Robert L. Zitnay and his wife, Johna ,all of Trumbull, and Andrew F. Zitnay III and wife, Gail of Columbia, MD. , her grandchildren John Plofkin Jr., and his wife, Cheryl, Andrew Plofkin and his wife, Janet, Cynthia Marino and her husband, Andrew, Thomas Ivanovich Jr., Todd Ivanovich, and his wife, MaryKrisitn, Jennifer Zitnay, Andrew Zitnay IV, Kathleen Zitnay, Lauren Zitnay, and Ryan Zitnay, her great-grandchildren, Meghan, Tyler, Annie Mae, Natalie, Andrew, Alissa, Micara, Alexander and Hope. She was predeceased by brothers, Monsignor John McCarthy, Charles McCarthy, Daniel McCarthy, sister Sr Ann McCarthy, sister-in-law, Mae Linane and brother-in-law, Louis Zitnay.
