Mary Zinanni, 78, passed away on Wednesday October 16th at her home surrounded by her family. Mary was born on October 8, 1941 in Ottawa to William and Vera (Willet) Funk. She was a 1959 graduate of Marquette High School. She was employed at the Ottawa Dental Lab for more than 25 years.She married Cyrus Jon Zinanni on December 12, 1959. He died on September 28, 2001. She was a member of St. Columba Church. Mary loved her entire family, loved sewing, painting, and crafting. She taught art classes at St. Columba School, served as a Campfire Leader. She also loved cooking and baking.
She is survived by one son, Wesley Jon Zinanni, of Streator, two daughters, Leigh Ann (Jeff Reeder) Robinson, of Marseilles, and Kristy Lin (John) Jatkowski, of Peoria, 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, three sisters, Fredricka Budach, of Ottawa, Rosanne Wolfe, of Tucson, AZ, and Eileen “Egee” (Michael) Mason, of Marseilles, a brother William “Billy” Funk, and her life-long friend and “Sister” Sandy Shipley. She was preceded in death by her husband, and a daughter Laura Leigh Zinanni.
