Mary Y. (Izzo) Swift of Plymouth, passed away at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth on January 24, 2021 at the age of eighty-six. She was the beloved wife of the late Maynard B. Swift, Jr.; loving mother of Stephen and Lynn Swift of Plymouth and James Swift of Wellfleet; cherished grandmother of Kaleigh Swift. She was the sister of Victor Izzo of Plymouth and the late Eugenia, Nello, Nicholas, John, Louis Jr., and Carmella Izzo. She leaves many nieces and nephews. Mary was born in Plymouth on September 17, 1934 to Louis and Josephine (Vernazzaro) Izzo. She was raised in Plymouth and graduated from Plymouth High School. She worked as a Secretary for Kingston Oil and Gas for twenty-five years. She was a communicant of St. Peter’s Church in Plymouth and an active member and past president from 1996 to 1998 of St. Peter’s Women’s League. She enjoyed playing scrabble and getting together with her friends who were known as the “Lunch Bunch”. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
