She died peacefully, Sunday, Aug. 16, 2015, at her home in Madison with her family near her side, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Jane Biermann Wolfgram was born on June 16, 1940 in Lindsay, Nebraska to Bill and Mary (Schaefer) Biermann. She grew up on a farm near St. Bernard, attended St. Bernard Catholic Church and graduated in 1958 from Humphrey St. Francis. After graduating she worked as a dental assistant for Albers and Albers Dental Office. She married Ronald E. Wolfgram October 15, 1960. Together they shared their love for each other, their devout Catholic faith, family and friends, daily walks and Husker football. They took great pride in attending their children and grandchildrens sporting and other special events. Jane was an active member and leader in her community volunteering countless hours, serving as President of the Womens Guild, and Board member of Countryside Nursing Home and Madison Senior Center. She enjoyed coffee time with dear friends and always looked forward to her next hand of Bridge. Jane cherished her time spent with family and had a special bond with her sisters along with her many nieces and nephews. Her warmth and compassion was especially felt during her 20+ years working at Countryside Home.
Jane had an ability to find the positive in every situation, even her fight against cancer for the past seven+ years. You can always find a little bit of good in any situation, she would say. She was always far more concerned about the well-being of others than worrying about herself.
Jane is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Ron; daughter Lori (Kevin) Keating of Omaha; son John (Lisa) Wolfgram of Laurel; son Jeff (Lisa) Wolfgram of Yankton; 11 grandchildren; sisters Romaine German of Columbus, Donna Sock of Atlanta, Georgia, and Marilyn (Cliff) Shotkoski of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Dennis Biermann; and sisters Doreen Boesch, Bernette Tarnick, and Lois Biermann.
