Mary Helen Witter (nee Polyak), 83, of O’Fallon, Ill., born January 29, 1924 in E. St. Louis, Ill., died Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at Bohannon Care Center, Lebanon, Ill. Mary was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and the O’Fallon Knights of Columbus Council #4239 Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Stephen M. & Victoria A., nee Burom, Polyak, husband; James T. Witter, sisters; Elizabeth Smith, Anna Kull and Catherine Ignatz, and a grandson; Richard Rickabaugh. Mary is survived by 2 sons; David Michael & Susan L. Witter of O’Fallon, Ill. & Mark Stephen & Caroline Sue Witter of Belleville, Ill., a sister; Irene Voelker of Belleville, Ill., 7 grandchildren; Laura & Alan Wilson, Kristin Witter, Chera & Terry Williams, Crystal & Jason Brooks, Scott & Danielle Witter, Keith Witter, Jayson Smith and 6 great grand children.
