Mary Wilhelmina (Quattlebaum) Brose, known to many friends and family members as “Billie”, passed away peacefully September 5, 2015 at her home in Middletown, CT. She was born January 25, 1921 in Winnsboro, SC to William Meritt and Mary Loretta (Ironmonger) Quattlebaum. Mary graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in English Literature in 1942. She married Adolph D. Brose on July 11, 1942 shortly before his Air Force deployment in World War II.
