Mary Villagomez, 60, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday March 28, 2014.
Mary was born to Connie Garcia and Richard Villapondo Rodriguez on Jan 2, 1954 in Santa Paula Ca. She moved to Port Hueneme with her family when she was 5, after her father’s release from the military. Mary attended Hueneme High School. She was a flag carrier for two years. Throughout those two years she held the letter “H” in Hueneme Vikings football games as well as HHS parades. In 1971 Mary graduated from HHS.
Soon after graduating Mary worked various jobs. She worked in Agriculture, and assisted in the operational of Parents Building Maintenance. Mary also worked as a cashier clerk on the CBC Navy Base where she later retired in was a very caring and loving woman who had a passion for music, enjoyed singing and playing the organ. She was always willing to put out a helping hand. Sometimes putting others before herself, for this Mary had a heart of gold.
Now she is resting up in heaven alongside her mom, dad, brother and her very favorite singer/actor of all time Elvis (the King of Rock). We all love you and you will be truley missed. Heaven gained a beautiful angel.
Mary is survived by her loving husband Jose Villagomez, daughter Rosemary and son Ernie Villagomez., six granddaughters, and one great-granddaughter.
