Mary V. Cappellirei, age 87, of Milford and formerly of Stamford, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 18 at Lord Chamberlain. Mary is the devoted wife of 64 years to Alfred Cappellirei. She was born in Mount Vernon, NY on January 28, 1927 to the late James and Violet Smith Dunn. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved family parties especially at St. Patrick’s Day. Survivors include her five daughters; Kathleen Monaco (Renaldo) of Milford, Eileen Noordyk (Neil) of NJ, Maureen McCabe (Robert) of Trumbull, Doreen Quell (Thomas) of Fairfield, Maryanne Kushner (Jerald) of Trumbull, sisters; Helen Kotos of Bridgeport and Barbara Cioffi of FL, 13 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. Mary is predeceased by her sister, Ethel Vlacich.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Lord Chamberlain for the love and care given to Mary and to CT Hospice for the comfort and respect given during her final days.
