Mary Margaret “Tootie” (Chaffin) Herrington, 70, of Moffat passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at a Temple hospital.
Tootie was born on February 17, 1947 in Temple, Texas to Bob and Jeanette (Trimmier) Chaffin. Mrs. Herrington was raised in the Moffat area and attended school in Moffat, later graduating from Belton High School where she was a proud member of the Marching 100.
Tootie attended the University of Mary Hardin Baylor in Belton and worked for many years as a book keeper for Scott and White Hospital. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Moffat and was a longtime caretaker of the Moffat Community Center.
Tootie is survived by one daughter, Amy Rodgers and her husband Dennis of Temple, her brother John Chaffin and his wife Linda of Bartlett, and one grandchild, Bobby Hart.
