Mary Theresa (Guerriere) Weed, 87, of Plainville passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Sunday November 13, 2011. Born on January 27, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Nicolas and Atelia (Maietta) Guerriere.
Mary was a life long resident of Plainville. She took care of her family which brought her the most joy. In her free time, she would take walks around town, enjoyed dancing and did activities at the Plainville Senior Center. She loved cheering for the Yankees which was her favorite sports team.
She leaves her son William Weed and his companion Charlene Drzata of Farmington along with three generations of nieces and nephews and her dear friend, Dorothy Farmer. She was predeceased by two brothers Angelo and Anthony Guerriere; and five sisters Constance Guerriere, Mildred Snedeker, Concetta Vincent, Lena Charbonneau and Antoinette Uchalik.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Apple Rehab in Plainville and the Masonic Health Center in Wallingford for their care and compassion.
