Mary Elizabeth Inglis Terrill, born July 7, 1930 in Waltham, MA, entered into rest January 12, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband William P Terrill Sr, parents James Inglis and Janet MacDonald Inglis, daughter Janet Terrill, grandson Logan Taylor Haycraft. She is survived by son William P Terrill Jr and his wife Patricia, daughter Jane Heather Haycraft, grandson Joshua Terrill Haycraft and his wife Marcia.
Mary grew up in Waltham, MA and graduated from Boston University, following which she worked as a secretary at Harvard University. She moved to West Palm Beach, FL working at the new Pratt & Whitney Aircraft facility.
Mary met Bill Terrill in June 1958, a newly discharged carrier pilot from the US Navy.
Following retirement, Bill and Mary moved to their new home in Flat Rock, NC. Two months later, Mary was back in municipal government, working with the group for the incorporation of Flat Rock, following which she served as its first Village Clerk as a volunteer.
