Mary Theresa Passariello Subbloie, 83, of Orange, joined her heavenly family with God on December 19, 2014 after her long and difficult journey with Alzheimer’s disease. Mary was born in May, 1931 to the late Pompei and Alessandro Passariello. She grew up “on the farm” in Orange with her parents and five brothers who all have predeceased her- Willie, Gene, Clem, Louie and Sal Passariello. Known throughout her childhood as “Mary Sunshine,” she always had a beautiful smile.
Mary went to Mary L. Tracey School in Orange and Commercial High School in New Haven. After high school, Mary obtained her degree as an X-ray technician and worked at Grace New Haven Hospital until her children were born. Later in life, she returned to work as an X-ray technician for Southern New England Ear Nose and Throat Group for 20 years until her retirement in 1993.
Mary was married to her loving husband, Albert Sr.
Mary’s passions were earthy and creative.
Mary is survived by her husband Albert, Sr., her daughter, Linda, her son Albert, Jr. and his partner, Jacqueline Barbara. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Natalie Subbloie and Marcus Barbara, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Our family extends our deepest gratitude and appreciation to Mary’s caregiver, Fatima Posmao. The exceptional care and love she gave to Mary blessed us with more time than we believe we otherwise would have had with her during the past four years. We also thank Fatima’s immediate and extended family for the help, support, and love they gave us in assisting Fatima in Mary’s care.
We extend our appreciation to Dr. Patel and the staff at Milford Hospital for accomodating our wishes and taking good care of Mary during her final days with us.
