Mary Suzanne Sanford, age 78, a resident of Edgewood for three months and previously a 40 year resident of Pasadena, passed at her home on February 2, 2017 after a five year illness.
She was born on August 12, 1938, in Baltimore, to the late Margaret (nee Shryock) and Frank L. Mayronne. After graduating from Glen Burnie High School, she went to work for the National Security Agency from 1956 until 1961, and then as an electronics technician for the Westinghouse Company.
Along with her parents, Sue is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 40 years: Theodore B. Sanford, Jr.
She is survived by her devoted son Alvin “Eric” Zulka, Jr. and his wife Kimberly, of Edgewood, MD; two loving sisters: Rosemary Mayronne, of Athens, Ohio, and Michelle Bigley, of Red Lion, Pennsylvania; eleven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
