Mary’s love of teaching began in 1958 when she received her teaching certificate. Mary began her 44-year teaching career in second grade at Denver’s Ellis Elementary School. Later, she went back to teaching first grade at Colorado Academy for 16 years and continued as a substitute teacher until age 78!
