Mary Satzman Waters, of Cromwell, wife of the late Frederick Waters, passed into Heaven on Thursday, March 22nd at Apple Rehab in Cromwell. Born in Tarrytown, NY on June 7, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Sarah Satzman. Mary grew up in Springfield, MA then moved back to NY where she met Frederick who was serving in the US NAVY. They were married on July 22, 1930 and made their home in Cromwell where Frederick was from. Mary worked for The Cromwell Hall, a rest home for many famous people and is now Holy Apostles College and as an executive secretary for Chevron Oil in Portland where she retired after more than twenty-six years. Mary and Fred spent many winters in Ormond, FL with their friends and when Fred passed in 1984, her son, Lee took over taking her to Florida until a few years ago. She is survived by three sons, Lee R. Waters, Richie Waters and his partner, Nancy Davis, and Allan Waters and his wife, Lori, all of Cromwell; four grandchildren, Lynn Trepanier and her husband, Brett, Brian Waters and his wife, Joan, Pam Waters, Allan (Rob) Waters and his wife, Gail; five great grandchildren, Brett Russell and Cody Trepanier and Alyssa, Jennifer and Christian Waters and many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husband, Mary was predeceased by three brothers, Michael, Ben and Lee Satzman and a sister, Dora S. Donato.
