Mary S. Haynes-Jackson, 81, Chesterfield, died July 4, 2004, at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana after an extended illness. She was born May 30, 1923, in Madison County, Indiana, and was a lifelong resident of this area.
She retired from the Delco Remy Division of General Motors in 1984 after 30 years of service. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. She was a former Business Woman of the Year. She was a member of VFW Women’s Auxiliary #266 and American Legion #127. She loved to paint and enjoyed doing crafts.
She is survived by her sons, Gary A. & wife Wauneatti Haynes of Daleville and Donald & wife Linda Haynes of Anderson; six grandchildren, Dion & wife Debbie Haynes, Cathy Haynes, Becky Williams, Guy & wife Teri Haynes, Todd & wife Kelly Haynes and Joseph & wife Marcia Hayness; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her parents, Herbert R. & wife Elsie May Stewart Shipley.
