Anderson – Mary S. Smith Everman, 91, Anderson, died June 4, 2002 at Manor Care, Anderson after an extended illness. She was born August 31, 1910 in Anderson, Indiana.

She was a lifetime Anderson resident. She along with her husband and son owned Everman’s Texaco Service in Anderson from 1935 to 1961 and worked at Heiney’s Meat Locker in Anderson from 1962 to 1975. She was a member of South Anderson United Methodist Church and the Women’s Society at the church. She was a member since 1947 and past Grand Noble of the Ivy Rebekah Lodge #381.

She is survived by her son, Christopher C. & wife Paula Everman of Anderson, a half sister, Virginia & husband Herb Shelton of Inverness, Florida, a niece, Jacqueline Stuart of Muncie, three grandchildren, Daniel Everman, Susan Bragg and James Everman, all of Anderson and four Step Grandchildren, Melva & husband James Killion of Anderson, Rebecca Hon of Anderson, Bobby & wife Sharon Hon of Texas City, Texas, and John Hon of Indianapolis. 17 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded by her Husband of 31 1/2 years: Christopher C. Everman on May 27, 1959; her parents: Joseph H. & Emma Isanogle Smith, a son: Charles Everman, and a sister: Nellie Stuart.
