Mary R. Smith, 98, passed away on Friday April 29, 2022. She was born on December 7, 1923 in Chicago, IL to the late John J. Sr. and Kathryn (Goga) Ryba. There she met her Husband of 39 years, James W. Smith. They were married at St.
They moved to Denver, CO in 1950. Mary had various jobs in retail. Her greatest accomplishment and a source of great pride was in raising her children, Janice (Jan) L. Rohr (Bill), Rebecca (Becky) M. Starr (Rick) and James (Jim) A. Smith (Penny).
She had nine grandchildren; Bill (Kim), Danny (Erin), Mike (Alicia), Kari (David), Kaleigh (Mike), Kristin (Jesse), Matthew (Mike), Amanda (Alcides), Aimee (Levi); 13 great grandchildren Addison, Preston, Amelia, Emmett, Emmy, Lily, Cora, Kacey, Arianna, Antonio, Alex, Cooper and Isabelle. She is survived by one sister Bernice Gutowski. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband Jim; siblings, Frank, Helen, Joseph, Albert, Edward, Anna, Sophie, John Jr., Leonard, Michael, and Chester. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
