Roberta was married on August 25, 1967 to John R. Whiteside in Indianapolis. She was a member of The Order of The Eastern Star, Southport Chapter 442. Roberta was employed as a directors secretary for Perry Township School District for 35 years until she retired.
Roberta is survived by her husband of 53 years John Whiteside; son John D. Whiteside (Shelley); daughter Joanna Holland (John); brother William Turner (Sandy); grandchildren John Holland, II (Savanah), Ashley Whiteside, Cody Whiteside, and Nicholas Holland and great grandchildren Hayley, Quintin, Christian and Xavier Holland. She is preceded in passing by her parents and granddaughter Brittany Holland.
