Mary Delafield Newcomb, 80, of Cocoa Beach Florida, known as ” Polly,” to her family and friends, passed away peacefully on Friday May 10, 2019 in Holmes Regional Hospital, Melbourne, Florida, with her husband, David, and son, Timothy, by her side. She died as the result of a pulmonary embolism.

As a Navy wife and as an everyday person, Polly was known for her love of God, devotion to her family, and was always ready to help others in need. She was a very strong Christian who practiced what Christ preached to the best of her ability, her entire life. Throughout 22 years as a Navy wife her devotion to God , family, Country and for others who crossed her path she set standards worthy of emulation. Polly was loved and respected, where so ever she went.
