Loving mother and friend, Mary Patricia “Pat” Henry, age 82 of Blackfoot, was called home on Wednesday, the 18th day of August 2021.  Pat passed away in Tyler at The Hospice of East Texas Homeplace, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on the 19th day of November 1938, in Palestine, Texas, to parents Don L. and Opal Johnson Faver.

Pat was a talented wedding cake designer having made cakes for numerous Anderson County brides in the 1960’s and 1970’s.  She also was the owner of the Doll House, a ceramic business that specialized in making porcelain dolls.  Pat was a talented artist and teacher who not only made and painted the dolls but was an excellent seamstress who put the finishing touches on them with their fancy clothing.  She loved animals, especially her many cats that she provided with care.  Pat was a Christian and attended Evangelistic Temple when her health permitted.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 46 years, Hollis Glenn Henry, and a son, James (Jamie) Lee Smith.

She is survived by her son, Darrell R. “Hillbilly” Henry of Blackfoot and many friends who referred to her as “Mama Henry”.
