Mary Gertrude Gleason O’Connor of Scottsdale, AZ passed away peacefully on February 22, 2016. She was born on October 2, 1930 in the Bronx, NY to Patrick Gleason of Templemore, Ireland and Margaret Coughlin of Skibbereen, Ireland. She graduated from Cathedral High School and went to work in banking where she met her future husband. She married Thomas J. O’Connor on August 28, 1954 and they resided in Yonkers, NY where together they raised four children. They later resided in Spring Lake, NJ.

Catherine Gleason preceded Mary in death. She is
survived by her four children: daughter Peggy (Mike)
McGrath of Norwalk, CT, son Tom (Debbie) of Phoenix, AZ and twins Doreen O’Connor of Whittier, CA, and John (Jackie) of Sterling, VA. She was very proud of her eight
grandchildren: Michael McGrath of San Francisco, CA,
Caitlin McGrath O’Connor (Danny) of New York, NY,
Erinn McGrath of New York, NY, Kathleen and Bridgit
O’Connor of Sterling, VA, Michael and Katherine
O’Connor of Phoenix, AZ and Aidan Gómez of Whittier,
CA.
