Mary Nell Cowan was born on December 18, 1971, to the late Ollie Stovall and Martha Cowan of Lawrence County. She departed this life on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Huntsville Hospital.
She was a very loving and caring person, who loved and cherished her family. She was a very shy person who found a way to never meet a stranger. She had a deep love for kids and would nurture them in any way possible.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Gunet Cowan.
She leaves to cherish her memory; a daughter, Pamela Cowan (Leighton) Earle; a son, Toney Cowan (Whitney); three grandchildren, K’Tigra, Kerrals and Kayleigh Nicole Nell Earle; one brother, Joe Cowan (Marcia); one loving goddaughter, La’Quesha Jackson (Kevin); one godson, Percy Thorne; four aunts, Connie (Jessie) Sherrod, Lena Goodloe, Debra (Jeffrey) Miller, Doris Goodloe; four uncles, Thomas (Princetta) Stovall, Connie (Eleanor) Goodloe, Rufus Goodloe and Connie (Winnfer) Woods; one special aunt, Barbara Cowan; four special nephews, Cedric Cowan, Chris Mahr, Joseph Cowan, Jr. and Joshua Watkins; three nieces, Passion Smith, Aleeah Cowan and Lizzie Thorne; two god-grandchildren, LaParis and Harold; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
