Mary Jo (Jody) Nanez 60, a Silver City resident left this world and entered into God’s Kingdom on Friday, June 29, 2012.
Mary Jo was born in Silver City on January 2, 1952 to Evelyn (Robledo) and Antonio (Tony) Munoz. She graduated from Silver High School in 1970 and left for Yuma, Arizona to pursue a career in nursing. Graduating from Western Arizona College in 1972, she became part of the school’s first graduating class with a nursing degree. Due to her own medical setbacks, she regretfully left the work she loved dearly in 2006.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 19 years Victor Nanez, a daughter Macy O’Shields, her mate Shan McNeely, three sons Jason Nanez, his mate Charlotte Benavidez, Tim Baumgarner, his mate Jennifer Cooper, Nicholas Nanez and his wife Francine, She also leaves behind ten loving grandchildren-Sidney O’Shields, John Nutter, Michael McNeely, Josiah, Jadyn, Angelice and Nadia Nanez, Tim Jr. and Samantha Baumgarner, Britney Gaure and one greatgrandchild Xavier Crocket as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all her friends, family and coworkers.
She was preceded on this journey by both her mother Evelyn Robledo and Father Antonio (Tony) Munoz.
