Mary Moore, age 100, passed away Monday, February 17, 2014 at George Ade Memorial Healthcare, Brook, Indiana.
Mary was born on April 11, 1913, in East Chicago, Indiana, the daughter of Sophie (Szur) and James Evion. She was raised in East Chicago where she attended the East Chicago Schools. On August 26, 1944, in Rensselaer, Mary married Orval R. Moore. Orval preceded her in death on December 1, 1994.
Mary was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting and sewing and she loved to cook.
Surviving are four children, Orville (Jeanette) Moore of Reynolds, Ind., Victor (Barbara) Moore, Elaine (Rodney) Lewis and Paul (Pat) Moore, all of Rensselaer; 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 32 great-great grandchildren and a sister, Ethel Taylor of Highland, Ind.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Orval, a daughter, Margaret Weems, a son, Donald Moore, 5 sisters and 2 brothers.
