Mary “Mimi” Hewitt , 63, of 738 LaHarpe St., LaSalle, died at 3:25 a.m. on June 12 at Heritage Healthcare in Peru.
She was born March 27, 1951 in Michigan to Frank and Maria (Ƈofati) Knap. Her parents came to the United States from Yugoslavia in 1950, locating in Michigan and later settled on a farm at St. Bede in 1953.
Her hobbies were playing Rummy, Yahtzee, and Scrabble.
Survivors include a daughter, Annette (Keven) Lorenz, of Kimberly, WI; a son Eric Hewitt, of LaSalle; four grandchildren, Maria, Jonathon, Mya and Anthony. A brother, Aloiys Knap; a sister, Helen (James) Millman, both of LaSalle and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by both parents, three brothers and two sisters.
