Rossi1930~ 2022Mary M. “Mickey” (nee McGovern) age 91, of Media, PA passed away on March 19, 2022. She was loved by her many friends and family members for her friendliness and April 8,1930 in Philadelphia to the late Josephine and Thomas McGovern, Mickey worked many jobs over the years, including the International Centre for Diffraction Data, where she was associated with the journal Powder Diffraction since its inception and served as Managing Editor. She generously volunteered for decades in many locations, including the Marple Newtown schools, Nana’s Attic, Springfield Hospital, and Granite Farms Estates. Mickey regularly donated to many worthy enjoyed traveling, especially her trips to Europe, including Ireland, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, London, and around the U.S. and Canada. She fondly remembered her cruise through the Panama Canal. Mickey enjoyed movies (her favorite was The Quiet Man), music (her favorite singer was Tony Bennett), and television, including Jeopardy!, where she knew most of the answers. She loved her music, especially singing in several choirs and playing drums in high was predeceased by her sisters Doris O’Donnell and Genevieve McCann.Mickey is survived by her cherished children Thomas (Lori), Francis (Aylesa Singley) and Anita DiDomenico (Louis); also, her adoring grandchildren Anthony Rossi, Christopher Rossi, Kelsey Whelan, Samuel Rossi, Lauren and Nick DiDominico, as well as many nieces and nephews.
