Mary (Mazol) Karas, who lived a long and feisty life, passed away on July 23, 2022, two weeks before her 101st birthday. Born to Michael and Sophie (Rzepnicki) Mazol, Mary lived her entire life in New Britain. She grew up on Booth Street. She and her husband, Stanley Karas, lived on Broad Street and celebrated over 60 years of marriage there. She retired from Fafnir Bearing. In her 90’s she lived on Burritt Street at the St. Lucian’s Residence. The compassionate and professional staff at Monsignor Bojnowski Manor on Pulaski Street became her family and cared for her in her final years. Thank you to you all at MBM. She was a member of Sacred Heart is survived by her only daughter, Barbara Karas Dall, and son-in-law, M. Whitney Dall, grandchildren David and Jessie Lynne, and three also leaves several nieces and nephews from both the Karas and Majewski families. Mary was the last of her generation. She was predeceased by her husband, and by her sister and brother-in-law Eleanor (Mazol) and Theodore (Ted)
