Mary Margaret Van Laar was born April 22, 1940 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to Marinus and Margaret (Lengkeeke) Van Laar. She attended the Sioux Falls community schools.
Mary Hoogland is survived by her two sons: Douglas Hoogland of Alden, Iowa, and Duane Hoogland of Iowa Falls, Iowa; a granddaughter: Kimberly [Jason] Hinkle of Alden; two great-grandchildren: Ryder and Skyler; and three brothers and sisters: Garrett [Lori] Van Laar of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Betty [Curt] Vander Zee of Sioux Falls, and Darlene Van’t Hull of Sioux Falls. Mary Hoogland was preceded in death by her parents: Marinus and Margaret Van Laar; her husband: Cornelius Hoogland; and four brothers and sisters: Wilma Roland, Dean Van laar, Arlene Brasel, and Marvin Van Laar.
