Mary Margaret Syester- Street- Funkhouser, 85, of Terre Haute passed away April 20, 2011 at 10:09 PM with her loving family beside her. She was born December 4, 1925 in Sullivan County to Robert Syester and Ruth Gordon Syester.
Mary had worked for Bell Telephone as an operator. She was an avid antique collector and dealer. Mary was the curator of the Harold Carson Collection at Indiana State University. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Stars OES #43 and of the Daughters of the Nile Badoura #23. Mary was also a lifetime member of the Vigo County Historical Society and a lifetime member of the Women’s Department Club. Mary was a loving mother and grandmother and she was an excellent cook.
