Mary Margaret Rindahl peacefully accepted the call of God’s spirit on Tuesday, January 21, 2014. She was 82 years young.
Mary was born to her parents Lester and Margaret Peel and became a younger sister to William (Bill) Peel on June 1, 1931 in Dassel, Minnesota. Mary attended Stephens College and graduated from the University of Minnesota with degrees in music and education. She met her husband of 36 years, Gilbert Rindahl, while in high school and they married shortly after Gib’s graduation from the Naval Academy and her first year of teaching in Alexandria, Minnesota. After moving to Spokane, Washington, she taught two years of music education to junior high school students.
Those who knew and loved Mary remember her as being a kind, loving and caring friend, sister-in-law and mother. She cared deeply for their futures and well being of their families. Mary could start a conversation with anyone and often did.
Mary was a huge Bronco fan and enjoyed watching sports of all kinds. She enjoyed many adventures and activities throughout her life which included traveling, skiing, golfing, swimming and reading.
