Mary Margaret (Buchanan) Durman, 57, of Humboldt, Nebraska was born on October 22, 1956 in Nebraska City, Nebraska to Joy and Darlene (Davison) Buchanan. Mary was raised in Nebraska City and attended public schools. She later graduated from Southeast Community College in Beatrice, Nebraska with an Associates Degree in Accounting.
On July 10, 1976, Mary was united in marriage to Alan Durman in Nebraska City, Nebraska. To this union two children, Diane and Alex, were born. The couple made their home in various towns in southeast Nebraska including Nebraska City, Johnson, Auburn, and Humboldt. Mary worked for many years as a Data Entry Coordinator at the Southeast Nebraska Community Action, otherwise know as SENCA. Mary had a very outgoing personality and was a friend to everyone she came in contact with. She was a wonderful and kind wife, mother, and grandmother. Mary passed away at her home in Humboldt, Nebraska on Friday, February 7, 2014, having reached the age of fifty-seven years, three months, and sixteen days. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son Alex Ross Durman.
Mary is survived by her loving husband Alan Durman of Humboldt, NE; daughter Diane Merwin and her husband Roland of Humboldt, NE; grandchildren: Tanner and Chase Motto of Humboldt, NE; Jessica Holliday and her husband Dexter of Dawson, NE; great-grandson Emmett Dale Holliday of Dawson, NE; a sister Melinda Diaz and her husband Steven of Lincoln, NE; and many other relatives and friends.
At her request, Mary’s body has been cremated.
