Mary M. Voskuil, 91, of Spring Branch, formerly of Elkhart and Brownsburg, Ind., and Holland, Mich., died Oct. 6, 2009, in her home. She was born April 13, 1918, in Utrecht, The Netherlands, to Eibertus and Maria (Menssink) Vanderkolk. She married Henk Schadee in 1941. He died in 1963. She married Jake Bol in 1967. He died in 1968. She married Arie M. Voskuil in 1982. He died in 1998.

Mrs. Voskuil is survived by one son, Bert (Janet) Schadee of Spring Branch; one daughter, Corrie (Terry) Shahley of Elkhart; three stepsons, Ken (Gloria) Bol of West Lafayette, Ind., Evert (Gail) Voskuil of Griffith, Ind., and Arie (Joanne) Voskuil of Elkhart; seven stepdaughters, Beverly Snyder of Allegan, Mich., Sheryl (Bill) Tuleja, Kathy (Larry) Wich and Virginia (Mike) Bol, all of Holland, Mich., Elaine (Jim) Van Maastricht of Hamilton, Mich., Maria (Jack) Brewer of Elkhart and Corrie (Jim) Howard of New Hampshire; 24 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Jantien (Hans) Van Eyk of Elkhart and Dien ten Hove of Maarssen, The Netherlands.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Lien Mulder.

Mrs. Voskuil moved to Elkhart from The Netherlands in 1956 with her husband and two children; they operated Schadee Upholstery. She was a professional house cleaner and cook for many Elkhart families who lived on Greenleaf Boulevard, often caring for their children. She loved to entertain and always had coffee, tea, or a listening ear for anyone who stopped by.
