Mary M. Simons Sharp, 94, Anderson, died May 14, 2012 at St. Johns Health System, in Anderson after a brief illness.
She was born December 20, 1917 in Gas City, IN, moving to Anderson in 1990, after living in California for thirty years. Mary had worked for five years at Guide Lamp, Division of General Motors. Survivors include her brothers and sisters, Frank Simons of Anderson, Eva Smith of Anderson, Martha Gillespie of Alexandria, Frances Griffith of West Virginia and Frederick Simons of Florida; grandchildren, Dr. Sherrie Lynn Sharp of Ohio and Kimberly Villafane of Rhode Island and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, whom she married, December 13, 1938, Hugh O. Sharp, parents, Chester & Nellie Miller Simons; and a son, Hugh Sharp.
