Mary Lucille Cooper, 91, of Maysville, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2013 at the Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  

Mary was born in Robertson County on February 17, 1922, daughter of the late Frank and Irene (Sims) Cleaver.  

Mary retired from the Proctor and Gamble Company in Cincinnati in 1976.  After retirement, she and her late husband, Edmond Cooper, moved to Winter Haven, FL to enjoy 17 of their retirement years.  Eventually, the couple moved back to the Maysville area to be closer to friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmond G. Cooper;  two siblings, Helen Cleaver Gifford and Bronson Cleaver;  and great-nephew, John Gifford.  

Mrs. Cooper is survived by a step-son, Jack (Arlene) Cooper of Chandler, AZ; two step-grandchildren, Ryan C. Cooper of Atlanta, GA, and Amanda J. (David)  Michelson and two step-great grandchildren, Olivia Cole and Sydney Ryann  of Chandler, AZ;  special nephew, Oney (Janice) Gifford Jr. and great- nephew Frank (Billie Jo) Gifford and great-great niece Sarah Grace Gifford of Mt Olivet; great-great nephew Jake Everett Gifford of May’sLick;  two nieces, Sonne Graham and Betty (Ed) Receski of Lexington  and a wealth of other nieces, nephews and cousins.
