She was born November 14, 1928 in Sholas, IN to Harry and Vern (Courtright) Canfield. She was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church and had retired from Raybestos.
Survivors include her children, Donnie (Terri) Gilstrap, Susie Gilstrap, Wint Gilstrap, Richard (Janet) Gilstrap, Melinda (Mark) Johnson, David (Marsha) Gilstrap, Julie (Ron) Davis and John Gilstrap. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Joe Gilstrap, two brothers and a sister.
