Funeral Mass for Mary Louise Secrist, age 88, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Thursday, September 1, 2022, will be held Friday, September 16, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1050 Robert Blvd, Slidell, LA 70458.
Visitation will be Friday, September 16, 2022 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Slidell, LA .
Arrangements are under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Father Dan Darmanin will officiate the funeral Mass.
A native of Prince George’s County, MD, she retired after 38 years from Naval Oceanographic Office, as Director of Education and Training. Mary loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Louise Mattingly Perrigo; her husband of 49 years, Richard Leonard Secrist, Sr.; and her daughter, Cathy LeClair.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Richard L. (Peggy) Secrist, Jr., Paul (Jeanette) Secrist, Debbie (Scott) Price, Carol Secrist; her sister/cousin, Linda Mattingly; 15 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren; her sister, Nanci Morris; her aunt, Aline Cargill; numerous nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
