Mary Louise Owen, age 87, of Salem, died at 3:05 p.m. Friday, October 5, 2012, at her home following a short illness. She was born September 27, 1925 in Deerfield, Ohio, a daughter of the late Farrell and Pearl (Hartley) Ormiston. Mary was a 1945 graduate of Beloit High School and last worked as a press operator at the Church Budget in Salem. She was a member of the Church at the Center in Salem, attended Sunday School at the Winona Friends Church and was a member of the Missionary Society. Her husband, Stanley V. Owen, whom she married May 20, 1945, preceded her in death on June 4, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Clyde, Carl O., Alvin, Kenneth, Howard, Walter and Wesley Ormiston. Survivors include a daughter, Jeanne (Rick) Lunger of Columbiana; seven sons, Clyde (Deanna) Owen of Alaska, Terry (Randi) Owen of Canton, James (Jackie) Owen of Winona, Timothy (Suzan) Owen of Guilford Lake, Robert (Elaine) Owen of Canton, Stephen (Lynn) Owen of Abilene, TX, and Daniel Owen of Salem; 27 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and a great great-grandchild; and two sisters, Betty Burley of Leesburg, FL and Doris Arbogast of Sebring, Ohio.
