Mary Louise Nimer Young, 67 passed away May 5th after a courageous struggle with cancer. Born in Chicago, she was the daughter of Wallace and Virginia Nimer and moved to Coral Gables as a young child.
She was a “Miami girl” from head to toe, living life to the fullest and always entertaining family and friends. Her beautiful big brown eyes and vivacious personality tucked into her small little body will be forever remembered by all who knew her.

She graduated from Coral Gables Senior High and Florida International University in fashion design. In 1994, she created her own jewelry line, Mary Louise Designs which was sold in boutiques and fine jewelry departments of major department stores. Her unique designs have been featured in multiple fashion magazines and worn by many celebrities, including a former First Lady.

She is survived by her son, Taylor Young and daughter, Genevieve Young Blair and son-in-law Matt Blair and soon to be born grandson as well as her brother, Richard Nimer and sister-in-law Jenny Nimer along with several cousins including Norma Jean Abraham and her former husband, Ralph Young both of whom meant a lot to her. She is predeceased by her parents and brothers, Robert and Wally Jr.

Mary Lou adored her family and they adored her back. She was a beautiful woman inside and out with many lifelong friends who will cherish the memories of so many good times together and her strength and grace. She will be missed by all who knew her but never forgotten.
