MARY LOUISE DUNCAN, 84, of Salem, Illinois passed away late Friday night at the Odin Care Center. Mary was a life long homemaker. She was an exquisite hostess and fabulous cook. She truly enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. Mary loved to golf, play bridge, and travel. She attended the First Baptist Church in Salem, IL where she volunteered her talents for decorating, cooking and teaching Sunday School.

Mary was born June 28, 1935 in southeast Missouri to parents Homer and Nell DeMay who both preceded her in death. She married William Waymon who also preceded her in death when he was killed in an accident while serving our country during the Korean War. She then married Gene Duncan. They had been married for 50 years when Gene passed away in 2006. She was later married to Jack Woods.

Mary is survived by two sons, Bruce Duncan (Charlotte) and Jim Duncan (Ria). She had 7 grandchildren including Scott Duncan, Alex Duncan, Kacie Walker, Chelanie Beese, Bryce Sherman, Blain Sherman, and Brent Sherman. She also had several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Mary was loved by many nieces and nephews as well.
