Mary Lou (Starke) Timmins, age 86, passed away at 3:00 a.m. Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Auburn Skilled Nursing Home. She was born July 12, 1930 in Tarentum, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Ernest Frederick Starke and Verne (Eaton) Starke. She moved to Ohio in 2000 to be closer to her family.
Mary Lou was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Salem, enjoyed Pittsburgh sports and taking care of her home. While living in Pennsylvania, she sang in her church choir and served as a volunteer for Meals On Wheels.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph Timmins, whom she married July 24, 1968; a daughter, Janet (Kevin) Chumney, of Salem, two granddaughters, Jody (Luke) Grubb and Amy (Kenny) Phillips, a grandson, Cole Chumney and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest F. Starke and David R. Starke, and a sister, Shirley Gilliland.
